Design - The Open Advantage site needed to be modern but at the same time the brief was to make it feel calm and relaxed. This was achieved though a muted colour pallete of soft blues, brown and cream. The image theme was mediation, calm and relaxation suggesting that Open Source was stress free and easy to use.
Technology - The OpenAdvantage web site was created using Plone CMS. Plone allows a huge amount of flexibility in designing custom content types. Using Plone allowed us to design a very custom backend system that could be easily used by the marketing manager as well as having deeper, more complex functionality for the technical staff.
